This lacey scarf, embedded with beads is an elegant addition to any wardrobe. Wrap it around your neck a couple of times and tie it at your throat for an opulent ascot or wrap it once around your neck and fling it over both shoulders. The weight of the beads holds the feather-light kid mohair in place when you wear it.

The natural bias of the simple lace pattern creates a graceful diagonal point at both ends which looks difficult, but is simple to achieve.

This knitting pattern includes written directions, colour diagrams for bead placement, and special details for pre-threading beads in small sections rather than for the whole project.

Finished Measurements
37 x 4” (94 x 10 cm)

Materials
Laceweight kid mohair; 110 yd / 100 m.
6/0 beads in three colours: 176 in C1, 196 in C2, 176 in C3.
Shown in Knit Picks Aloft Super Kid Mohair (affiliate) (72% Super Kid Mohair, 28% Silk; 260 yards/25g) in Cranberry

Substitution Notes
Any laceweight kid mohair will work, includes mohair/silk blends. For a different look without the halo from the mohair, other laceweights would look, or even fingering weight yarn for a heavier/larger scarf. Test threading beads on your yarn if using a heavier weight.

Techniques
Working mesh lace (2-row stitch pattern) from written instructions, inserting beads with crochet hook.
