This pattern is for a crochet beanie slouchy hat which is one size-only, although it can be easily adjusted by increasing or decreasing the number of stitches.

The pattern is made using half-trebles so makes up very quickly, as there is very little shaping.

The pattern is written in English terminology.

Gauge

Work 9 stitches in half trebles for six rows = 2 inches

The pattern requires using two strands of sock yarn together - Drops Fabel has been used for the pattern but any 4ply sock yarn would be suitable.

Using sock yarn makes this a very warm hat and can be worn underneath a cycle helmet. This hat was designed with my husband in mind for the cold mornings cycling to work.
