UPDATE - Many people have said that the pattern comes out a little loose, especially around the ribbing. I would suggest that if you don’t have gargantuan hands like me, that you may want to go down a needle…or two!

An easy peasy fingerless glove / mitt with an easy to do cable, easy to do thumb, overall easy peasy! Have I mentioned easy?!

There is a 12 row stitch pattern, however only two out of the twelve involve something more than just stockinette!

A cable that came about as a mistake, when combined with the dark green yarn, reminded me of my favourite childhood story - Jack and the Beanstalk

Although I have left the thumb open, you could easily create a glove thumb, ie, closed, as per someone elses suggestion. Instead of casting off when directed to - simply put the stitches on waste yarn and return later to work up a full thumb!!

Each mitt took about 1 hour or so to do - quick gift, especially for Christmas!

As always, if you have any questions, I would be more than happy to help, just shout! Well, PM me, I wouldn’t hear you if you literally shouted…..
