Tapered cowl is designed to be a closer fit at chin (18” circumference), growing increasingly larger in circumference (24”) at shoulder through a series of needle changes.

Pattern is both written and charted.


Finished Measurement:
Approximately 12” tall and 18” circumference at chin /
24” circumference at shoulders.
Measurements will vary depending on how strongly
or subtly you block your finished piece.

Yarn Requirements:
Shown in Dye Monkey Yarns – Salsa Monkey
(218 yards/100grams, 100% merino; color: Midnight
Used approx 90grams / 197 yards of worsted weight yarn

Recommended Needles:
Size 8 (5.0mm) 20” circular (or size required to get gauge)
Size 9 (5.5mm) 20” circular (or one size larger than the size you used to get gauge)
Size 10 (6.0mm) 24” circular (or two sizes larger than the size you used to get gauge)
