CONSTRUCTION NOTES
The front is knit first, back and forth in rows from the bottom up. Stitches are bound off for the neck and the right and left front neck shaping are worked one at a time.
The left back and right back are worked back and forth in rows from the bottom up. The button holes are worked into the knitting of the left back. The v-neck and shoulder shaping are worked at the same time.
The front and back pieces are blocked and the shoulders are seamed.
The applied i-cord edging is worked along the side seams, front, back, and neck openings.
The sides are seamed.
The i-cord strap is knit.
The sleeves are worked in the round from the upper arm to the sleeve cuff and finished with an i-cord bind off.
The entire cardigan is blocked a second time.
The buttons are sewn to the right back.

Quince & Co Sparrow - Sport weight; 100% Organic Linen; 168 yards (154 meters) / 50 g (1.7 oz);

US 4 / 3.5mm 32” circular needles, or size to obtain gauge.
US 4 / 3.5mm double-pointed needles, or size to obtain gauge.
Circular needles and DPNs are used for the neckband, sleeves, and i-cord finishing.

Sized for XS (S, M, L, XL) (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL) with a finished bust measurement of 39 (41 ¾, 44 ⅕, 47 ¼, 50) (52 ¾, 55 ¾, 58 ½, 61 ¼)”. Sample shown in size 41 ¾” with ~6” of positive ease at bust.
