I’ve only been to Alabama once, for a short day trip to Mobile, years ago. The gorgeous flowers from Bellingrath Gardens were the highlight. Those flowers, and the perfect Blush colorway of Sock-a-licious from Kollage Yarns (in Alabama!), were the inspiration for this set.

Both designs feature the same lace edging and pattern down the center. Both charts and written instructions are provided. The socks are knit top/cuff down and the shawlette is worked top down. Each design requires just one skein (two skeins to make both the shawlette and the socks).

Shawlette measurements: 42” wide and 17” long at center points, after blocking
Shawlette Gauge: 26 sts and 32 rows in 4” stockinette stitch

Socks finished measurements: 6 3/4” unstretched (up to 8” slightly stretched) foot circumference; 6 1/2” ~leg length
Sock size: adult women’s average/medium
Sock Gauge: 32 sts in 4” stockinette stitch

Suggestions for size modifications for both socks and shawlette are provided.

Errata as of 7/11: Error in the key instructions. The WS for the SSK should be an SSP. The WS for k2tog should be a p2tog.
