Cute as a button, this hooded cardi will please the toddlers and young people in your life with its fair-isle pattern, colorful stripes and practical hood.

A border of fair-isle adds interest while bright stripes on the rest of the sweater will provide easy knitting that goes quickly.
Sleeves and hem are finished with a ribbed border, and the button band and hood edge are in seed stitch.

It is an easy top-down, raglan sleeve, nearly seamless design, with buttonholes and buttons to close it. It has just one seam at top of the hood.

Directions are provided for an optional collar to replace the hood if desired.

The sweater is playful and sweet.
By varying the colors, it can be a girls’, boys’, or gender neutral sweater.

Skill Level: Intermediate, for the colorwork.
