Exploring with yarns of different weights in this simple shawlette/shawl pattern.

This reversible crescent shape shawlette/shawl with gentle ruffles at the bottom, is knitted in one piece from the top down, using double garter stitch. The double garter stitch is achieved by using the “double point sliding technique” alternating Strand A and Strand B, knit every row. The double garter stitch makes the fabric light, soft and puffy.

Pattern instructions including shawl/shawlette using either lace or worsted weight.

The shawl size, lace version was knitted with elann.com silken kydd in color cloud white and Pewter color.

The shawlette size - lace version with wide edging was knitted with elann.com silken kydd in color sapphire and pewter.

Both shawl and shawlette can be knitted with elann.com Peruvian highland wool, elann.com Peruvian Baby Cashmere and elann.com Peruvian Baby Silk.
