When I was searching for crochet patterns for mittens, I could not believe how difficult they were to find. I ended up having to figure it out on my own. The results made me pretty happy. Of course, it took a bit of practice to be able to crochet consistently enough to make both the same size. This pattern should be easy enough for the beginner to advanced beginner.

Another great use for this pattern is a wash mitt. Make either the left hand or the right and scrub away!

I’m sort of working on a matching scarf pattern, but it’s not high on my list of priorities right now, so contact me if you’re interested and I’ll move it up the list.

The instructions use simple stitches and American terminology.

Instructions for special stitches are included.

Supplies needed:
about 4 oz (180-190 yds) worsted weight cotton yarn
size G-6 (4.0 mm) crochet hook
yarn needle or smaller size hook for weaving in ends
size markers or scraps of yarn
