Overview
Biscuit is a vintage-inspired sleeveless top knit using your favorite sport-weight yarn.

The pattern has no upper or lower size limits, it is completely and automatically customized to your body using a few of your unique measurements and an accompanying spreadsheet. The pattern also makes no assumptions about your body proportions or parts for a truly inclusive knit. Scroll to the bottom of the images at the left to view the schematic dimensions.

Sizing Info
Like all Swanky Emu Knits patterns, Biscuit is #sizeinclusive and has absolutely no size limits. It’s custom-fit based on your unique measurements.

The pattern asks you to input 6 of your body measurements (in inches or cm) and then calculates the pattern from there. Recommendations are given, but it can be knit to any length desired

Hem Options
Two different hem options are available. Option A is a traditional 1x1 rib, recommended if your waist measurement is smaller than your bust/chest measurement. Option B is a wider 1x1 ribbed hem which decreases immediately after the ribbing rows and is recommended if your waist measurement is close to or larger than your bust/chest measurement. It helps the garment not stretch and ride up at the hem.

Gauge and Yarn information
Precise gauge of 26 stitches and 10 rows per 4” (10 cm) is critical for this pattern and any sport-weight yarn you like may be used. A few recommendations:

Yardage Required
As so many pieces of this garment are customizable to your measurements, precise yardage recommendations are challenging to give. However, use the following chart as a guide. Note that Hem Option B will use approximately 25% more yarn than listed below at each particular size.

Your actual bust/chest measurement in inches (cm); yarn required in yards (m)

32 inches (82 cm); 670 yards (610 m)
36” (92 cm); 735 yds (670 m)
40” (102 cm); 800 yds (735 m)
44” (112 cm); 875 yds (800 m)
48” (122 cm); 945 yds (865 m)
52” (132 cm); 1015 yds (930 m)
56” (142 cm); 1085 yds (995 m)
60” (152 cm); 1155 yds (1060 m)
64” (162 cm); 1225 yds (1125 m)
68” (172 cm); 1295 yds (1190 m)

Although this chart lists measurements every 4” (10 cm), this is only to conserve space. Absolutely every bust/chest measurement, including larger and smaller than listed here, is available in the pattern!

Pattern Download - PDF and spreadsheet
Pattern purchase includes both PDF and its accompanying spreadsheet. The PDF has stitch patterns and all instructions. The spreadsheet file will take your personal body measurements and automatically do the rest of the pattern grading math for you!

Swanky Emu Knits design philosophy
I’ve had to modify every single garment I’ve ever knitted for myself. I know plenty of people who look like me, but my body is larger or differently proportioned than most knitting patterns seem to call for.

I create size-inclusive instructions to ensure my patterns work for absolutely every body size and shape, no matter what. No need to learn pattern grading to knit a perfectly-fitting garment every time.

I build this into the framework of the design rather than add it later.

Everyone deserves to wear something that is both tailored to their shape and that makes them look and feel amazing.
