Björt means bright in Icelandic and to knit and wear these is pure happiness!

Especially right now around the winter solstice and the darkest, shortest day of the year, everyone can use a bit of extra brightness in their lives!

Make these happy little mittens with leftover yarn from your Alafosslopi Björt coat!

And if you already own the coat pattern, these mittens will automatically show up as only $2 after adding them to your shopping cart!

The Björt Mittens are big and cozy and are worked top down from the fingertips to the cuff, like a toe up sock!
This way you can try them on as you go, you can make sure the thumb is in the right spot (move it up a few rounds if you have shorter fingers or palm) and you can make the cuff as long as you want!
