These bags are made with worsted weight yarn. I used balls of leftover yarn from my ball bin (a clear plastic tub - love those for storing yarn!), I used approximately 2-3 ozs. It would also be good for using up those oddball skeins of yarn you’re not quite sure what to do with.

I used a size I crochet hook since I wanted the bags to be a little more stretchy. Gauge is not important for this project, but if you crochet tight or your bag seems overly large, you might want to adjust hook size accordingly.

For the drawstring(s), I used whatever was handy. I do love the knitted I-cord (you can find both knit and crochet I-cord tutorials on YouTube), but I also used just plain yarn. I was going to go with ribbon but I think that craft tub is in storage and couldn’t find any. I sure wasn’t going to buy more when I have a ton!
