Bluebells Baby Blanket has a leaf and flower eyelet pattern and is otherwise worked in garter st. The blanket is finished with a picot edge around the border. The pattern includes instructions for two different versions: A one colored version worked in one piece in the round and a multicolored version worked in pieces that are seamed together and then the border is knit in the round.

Finished measurements:
Approx. 75 x 75 cm

Gauge: 14 sts x 16 rows on 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4 inches in garter st

Techniques used: “Growing” eyelet pattern, picot cast off

Materials:

One colored blanket worked in the round:

  • 450 grams of yarn for size 5 mm (U.S. size 8) needles (sample blanket made in Knitpicks Shine Worsted in color Clarity (#26680) (50 grams = 69 meters/75 yards))
  • Size 5 mm (U.S. size 8) needles; double pointed (if magic loop technique not used), 40 cm, 60 cm, 80 cm and 100 cm (16 in, 24 in,32 in and 40 in) circular needles

Multi colored blanket worked in pieces:

  • 500 grams of yarn for size 5 mm (U.S. size 8) - 200 gram in two different colors (triangles) and 100 gram in a third color (border) needles (sample blanket made in Quince and Company Osprey in colors Belize, Glacier and Audouin (border) (100 grams = 155 meters/170 yards))
  • Size 5 mm (U.S. size 8), 60 cm and 100 cm (24 in and 40 in) circular needles
