Bluebird was inspired by my dad (known affectionately as “The Dud” since I was about 12 years old), his love of the sweaters I’ve knit for him, and the challenge of creating a design element that works particularly well with his wheelchair “accessory.” I decided on the intarsia bluebird on the right rear shoulder. I tell you, the man is fierce.

As you can see from the brown example, Bluebird is equally flattering on those who ambulate vertically.
