Hats are such a great accessory, it’s a shame to relegate them to winter use only. When knit in a lightweight fabric from non-wool yarn, hats can be worn right through the haziest days of summer and will save your hairstyle while boating, beaching, or driving with the top down. This simple design in three sizes (S/M/L)—is a great example. Knit in a silk/linen blend with stripes worked right into the fabric, it can be tucked easily into purse or glove box to be pulled out whenever a topper is needed. The pattern is so simple to work that a beginner can take it on with confidence, yet experienced knitters will find the construction quite entertaining.
Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size and elasticity.
