The Bobolink top is a top-down raglan with seed stitch borders and two little pockets. Fingering weight yarn is knit on largish needles to make a light and airy fabric. Skills required include knitting in stockinette stitch, seed stitch, increasing, and picking up stitches. Subtly shaded or solid-color yarns will show seed stitch nicely.

Since kids tend grow taller faster than they get wider, this top works great a tunic for littler girls and a tee as they grow.
