The Boesemani cowl was designed to play with really wildly variegated yarns in a controlled, geometric, colorwork pattern. As the variegation goes from dark to light the colors seemingly shimmer in contrast to the background color like the scales of a Boesemani Rainbow Fish.

The cowl is funnel shaped. It will cover your collar without gaps, and stay snuggly warm around your neck.

This pattern is available for both DK and Worsted weight yarns.

DK
225yds/205m of motif color
450yds/410m of background color
Worsted
220yds/200m of motif color
400yds/365m of background color
-Use a rainbow or wildly variegated yarn for the motif color
-Use a solid color for the background

Both DK and Worsted are written to use one 100g skein of Rainbow/Variegated yarns. Perfect for impulse purchased single skeins or small budget indulgences. The solid background roughly calls for 200gs (typically 2 skeins).
