By way of a brief explanation - Bok is a gargoyle/demon in a classic Doctor Who story called ‘The Daemons’. My partner, mere weeks after we first met, asked me if it would be possible to knit a ‘bokaclava’, complete with sticky out tongue.

(The answer to that was yes, clearly..)

A child’s size (18-20”) version of the pattern is also available

NB - The ravelry download published on 20/4/2008 has now been updated (21/4/2008) as the section for the ears was missing!

Yarns suggested are an either/or - you don’t need both - any reasonably stiff yet soft aran weight yarn would be suitable.
