This pattern includes instructions on how to make the large bow, the holly and the wreath cover (and how to easily adjust the sizing to cover any sized wreath base).

This pattern is 9 pages long and contains photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in American crochet terms.

You will need:

Chunky yarn in colours of your choice for both the wreath cover and the bow - The pattern will explain how to make the wreath cover the correct size in any yarn.

Green dk or aran weight yarn for the holly leaves (this is equivalent to either light worsted or worsted weight yarn). I used Patons Smoothie.

You can either crochet the berries or use some red beads. You will therefore either need some red dk or aran weight yarn (again this is equivalent to either light worsted or worsted weight yarn) or 12 red beads.

Suitable sized hooks for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 5mm hook with the chunky yarn (for the wreath cover and the bow) and a 4mm hook with the dk yarn (for the holly leaves & berries).

A 25 cm flat-backed polystyrene / styrofoam wreath base.

The leaves and beads (if you are using them) can either be attached to the wreath with a length of matching yarn / thread, or with some invisible nylon thread if preferred.

A tapestry needle (the longer, the better).

You may find it useful to have some long nosed pliers (for pulling the needle through the wreath).

Other tools you will need are some scissors and some pins.
