Stitches and Terms You Need to Know (US Terminology)
• sc = single crochet
• inc = increase stitch (two stitches in the same stitch)
o inc 3 (or any other number) = three (or whatever number you see in the pattern) stitches in the same stitch
• ch = chain stitch
• sk = skip a stitch
• sl st = slip stitch
• sl st join = slip stitch join
• hdc = half-double crochet
• dc = double crochet
• tc = treble crochet (also known as tr)
• FO = finish off
• IFO = Invisible finish off
• MR = magic ring
• whip stitch
