Braided Crochet Scarf

September 2012
Bulky (7 wpi) ?
2 stitches and 1 row = 1 inch
10.0 mm (N/P)
179 - 180 yards (164 - 165 m)
6 x 40 inches finished.

General Pattern Info:
This simple pattern is worked lengthwise, creating 3 “strips” that will be braided together after the piece is completed. By using a bulky yarn, the project works quite quickly.

Pattern Details:
Yarn: 2 skeins of Malabrigo Rasta yarn. I used 862 Piedras Dye Lot 060718
Hook: P/10-12mm
Gauge/Tension: 10 sts = 6 inches or 15.5 cm
Finished size is approx. 6 inches x 40 inches, but will shorten after braiding. If you prefer your scarf longer, use 3 skeins and begin with a longer chain.
Materials: 1 crochet hook. 1 fabric needle to work ends in.

Crochet Stitches Used:
CH: chain
SC: single crochet
DC: double crochet
