This simple yet vibrantly stunning design, is knit in the round using stranded color-work techniques.

It is a great project for those who are new to stranded knitting, but it is also a fun and quick knit for those who are already proficient at stranded color-work.

The pattern calls for a worsted weight acrylic yarn, however you can substitute any worsted weight yarn of your choice. I recommend a vibrant colored yarn for your contrast color in hues of Pink, Blue, Purple, Red or even a vibrant variegated colorway. This will help give your finished project the appearance of stained glass Butterflies!

Generously wide at 11”, the finished Cowl also has a diameter of approximately 34”. The pattern requires repeats of 34 stitches. You can increase or decrease the length of the cowl by increasing or decreasing the number of stitches you cast on by 34.
