About the pattern
The Broken Edge Scarf is knit sideways and has an easy “no-counting” instruction for the short-rows shaping.

The scarf is finished with its statement edge and its exaggerated yarn-over holes. The “broken edge” holes function as a way to attach the scarf to itself by wrapping ends of the scarf into the edge.

Yarn and amount
DK weight - choose your favorite yarn that you like against your neck

300 meters (330 yards) of Main Color.
60 meters (65 yards) of Contrast Color.

Choose your favorite color for the main part of the scarf. The CC is only used on one edge - choose a color that pops and makes a defined edge to your scarf.

Gauge
10 x 10 cm = 19 sts x 24 rows in stockinette

16 extra stitch markers in a different color

Tip: You will be using 16 + 16 stitch markers in two different colors to make it easy to memorize the pattern. This way you are not counting but only looking to find the next marker in a different color to know how many stitches you need to knit.
