This shawl is knitted in three phases: first you will knit one triangular section sideways from corner to corner in garter stitch. The triangle shape is knitted with increases in one edge only - the other edge is straight.

Then, pick up stitches along the slanted edge for the lace body, worked in small allover pattern first. The lace section is finished with a small border pattern. Finish your shawl with the lace bind-off, which serves also as an edging.

The shawl in photos was knitted using 1 skein of Kaipuu (A) and 1 skein of Haikeus (B).

The orange and gray shawl was knitted using 1 skein of Knitlob’s Lair Luonnotar in Savu (A) and 1 skein of the same yarn in colorway Porkkana (B).

You can use any yarn, which knits up to the given gauge. You may need more (or less) yarn if you modify your shawl.
