This beautiful baby blanket pattern is knit is mitre squares. It is not sewn together! Instead, the stitches for each square are either cast on or picked up from a previous square. There are a few tricky parts when picking up the stitches for the squares, but this would be a great pattern for an adventurous beginner or an advanced knitter looking for an interesting new project! Because each square is knit individually, you are never working with more than 70 stitches at a time.
