This is a crochet PATTERN for a thick and bulky walrus blanket for two people to share! This whimsical walrus has a hilarious face and body, which lies flat across two people, and also cocoons around your legs for added warmth and comfort. The walrus flippers serve as pockets for your hands! This blanket is fun to share, but just as great to use alone!

This blanket works up quickly using a 12mm “P” hook and one strand of bulky (6) weight yarn. Three strands of worsted weight yarn held together may be substituted.

I used Bernat Blanket yarn in Taupe (8 skeins) for the body, Sand (1 skein) for the muzzle, Vintage White (1 skein) for the tusks and Purple Plum ( a few yards) for the tongue.

Gauge is not extremely important, but mine was approximately 6 stitches and 5 rows for 4”.
