These butterflies make great additions to everything, from headbands and hats to blankets. With worsted weight yarn, these butterflies make great coasters.

Size: Each butterfly measures approximately 3 ½ inches wide with worsted weight yarn and 2 ½ inches wide with DK weight yarn.

I made the coasters with Lily’s Sugar ‘n Cream yarn and a 5.5 mm (I/9) hook. Exact colors are given in the pattern. The smaller butterflies were made with KnitPicks Shine Sport yarn and Bernat Cottonish Yarn. You can make the butterflies with most yarns.
