Last summer we raised a few Painted Lady Butterflies for my three year old daughter. The scarf brings back the memories of watching the slow transformation from homely caterpillars to beautiful butterflies. It was a happy and bittersweet memory to watch the transformed butterflies take flight and soar off into the wind.
