CONSTRUCTION NOTES
The sweater is worked in the round from the top down. The advantage of working a raglan sweater in this way is that you can try it on as you knit and hence adjust the length on both body and sleeves. I have chosen to begin with the back neck and then gradually increase, so the raglan is higher on the back than on the front. This gives a much better fit. The sweater is worked back and forth while the neckline on back and shoulders is shaped. Stitches are then cast on to shape the neckline on front and the yoke is worked in the round across all stitches. When the yoke is completed, the work is divided into body and sleeves and these are knitted in the round.
