This fun and simple keyhole scarf is create in all knit stitches with a combination of yarn-overs and cables to add interest. The keyhole is created by using the opening of the cable.

The super stretchy scarf is a great scarf for knitters learning to cable. The scarf may be knit longer if desired however, another ball of yarn will be needed.

Instructions are both written and charted

Materials Needed:
Size 9 (5.5 mm) straight knitting needles
1 ball of Berroco Comfort Worsted 210 yards
Stitch holder / Cable Holder
Darning Needle

Measurements:
Width—apprx 8 inches
Length—24 inches

Abbreviations:
K—knit

YO - Yarn over
Sssk -(Slip 1 as if to knit) 3 times; insert left-hand needle from the front to the back of all stitches at the same time and knit them together.

Ssk -Slip one stitch as if to knit, Slip another stitch as if to knit. Insert left-hand needle into front of these 2 stitches and knit them together

K3tog -Knit three stitches together as one

K2tog—Knit two stitches together as one stitch

C4 over 4 left -sl4 to CN, hold in front. k4, k4 from CN

C9 over 9 left -Slip the next 9 stitches onto a cable hook and hold in front of work, knit the next 9 stitches then knit the 9 stitches on the cable hook
