I knitted this hood in Maxi mohair and used the yarn doubled. (the larger number in the yardage was what I actually used!) Any super bulky yarn should be able to be used singly and with less yardage.
The finished fabric should be nice and dense (no wind whistling through this hood!)
I fully intend to frog this when it was done and use the yarn for something else but I love it too much. Almost looking forward to winter!!
