Hi! It was hard to find changing/morphing crochet cable sampler patterns on Ravelry, so I’ve designed this one. This pattern has been pattern tested by wonderful Ravelry user madisonsquared.

All steps are intricately detailed for beginners who have never done cables before, intermediate crocheters can skip over the details, & advanced crocheters can solely use the chart if desired.

This original fully WRITTEN OUT eight-page pattern design & one-page chart in US crochet terms may not be distributed or sold as your own, but feel free to sell finished neckwarmers made from this pattern!

skills: know how to ch (chain), sc (single crochet), fpDc & fpTc (front post Double crochet & front post Triple crochet; same as regular dc & tc except after the initial yarn over(s) you insert hook not into the top loops but in & around the post & out the front, pulling body of st (stitch) toward you, then continue with yarn over & pull through & rest of st as usual; if needed, YouTube search ‘front post double crochet’ & ‘front post triple crochet’ for helpful video demos)

hook: H/5.0mm for an adult size neckwarmer/cowl/scarf (or slip stitch ends together for infinity scarf)

yarn: four skeins Needle Crafters Comfort Collection Acrylic in color NC500P Slate Grey (each skein is 1.7 oz / 50 g & ~115 yd / 105 m; one skein produces 9” of this pattern & the finished neckwarmer is 29” long, for a total of four skeins needed), or other worsted weight yarn

As a crocheter for over 20 years now & a former professional proofreader, you can crochet with the confidence that this pattern has been gone over with a fine-tooth comb.

Feel free to contact me with pattern-related questions at any time, & I’ll typically get back to you within 24 hours. Enjoy!
