This pattern is a large cowl that may be also worn as a shawl pulled down over your shoulders and upper arms. Gage is not as important as it will fit any neck as a large Cowl. If you are more of a loose crocheter as I am, then the Cowl will fit comfortably as a Shawl.

Also, I only selected these two colors because they were the colors for the annual yarn crawl in Denver, CO (2014), where my Yarn Shoppe is a participant of. You may venture out and select two colors of your choice that you are fond of and enjoy wearing. If you are going to stitch this up as a gift for someone, I would pick two colors that you know for certain that person wears often in their wardrobe.
