Here is a new twist on our cosy friend the scarf! Designing this pattern I wanted to use cables, and create a new twist. The result; fringes on of of the long sides! This scarf is self fringing!

You knit 5 sts in stockinet on one side of the cable - and rater than casting off at the end, you unravel the stitches all the way along the side of the scarf. It´s like magic!

The cable pattern is interesting to look at and fun to make. You can have a go at this pattern even if you are new to knitting. Some experience with cable knitting can be an advantage.
