’Cara’ Cable Ear Warmer / Head Wrap / Head Band (Teen / Ladies) (DK) Knitting Pattern!

Knit this super gorgeous one-of-a-kind DK yarn head wrap to keep your ears nice and cosy! This headband knitting pattern features a richly textured cable pattern which knits up to a nice thick, warm fabric. You could even choose to knit this up in Aran yarn if you wanted to. This would have the effect of making the headband thicker still and wider across the width. This item is easily adjustable to fit different head circumferences.

Unique features
It is quite a complex cable, and knits up in to a lovely richly textured pattern! The rich texture is achieved by knit, purl and cable stitches!

Finished item size
This pattern is suitable for head sizes - Girl, Teen to Adult Ladies.

Finished item measures: 27cm length laid flat, and 9.5cm width (For an average teen / adult size head). 26cm length laid flat, and 9.5cm width (For an average child size head).

Equipment needed
1 x 50g/103m ball – Cygnet Silcaress DK.
Shade 0300 Winter White.
(You may choose to knit this up in a thicker yarn such as Aran if you want an even thicker/wider headband. Adjust the number of rows needed for the length as using Aran yarn will result in a longer length headband. Knit a tension swatch in the main pattern to calculate how many rows you will need.
4mm needles.
1 x 4mm cable needle.
Round end small tapestry needle.

Skills needed to complete this item include
Cast-on/Cast-off, Knit, Purl, sl3 sts on to cable needle, hold at back, k3, then k3 from cable needle, sl3 sts on to cable needle, hold at front, k3, then k3 from cable needle, sl3 sts on to cable needle at front, p1, then k3 from cable needle, sl1 st on to cable needle at back, k3, then p1 from cable needle.
