This edge to edge cardigan features a simple but stylish braid-effect cable and is great for layering over jeans and t-shirts when the seasons are changing. It uses basic knit and purl stitches and the cable pattern is simple to remember. The cable pattern itself is written out, not charted. All the pieces are worked separately from the bottom up, with the edging and collar worked as part of the fronts (so there’s no need to pick up stitches for a band or neck). There’s a small amount of waist shaping and the sleeve length is easily adjustable. Note that this is designed to be close fitting across the shoulders and arms, with no allowance for ease. If you prefer a looser fit, you’ll need to go up a size.
