Winter weather is a knitter’s dream. Thick, wooly hats and cowls dominate my wardrobe during the bitter cold months. This set is worked up quickly for gifts and though the cables may appear complex, they’re deceptively simple and easy to memorize. For the hat, the cables flow upward toward the crown and for the cowl, downward toward the hem; pairing these directional stitches in a hat and cowl set frames the face beautifully.
