I have always loved Missoni knitwear. Now I love it even more. At the Milan Fashion Week, they ended their fall 2017 show with every one of the 40-plus models marching down the catwalk wearing pink pussy hats with brims knit in the Missoni-style signature stripe pattern.

Missoni’s show began with the music “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised”, which set a political tone. The show’s notes explained, “Angela Missoni communicates the femininity of our times, prepared to confront the conflicts and dilemmas of our contemporary society: the conditions, needs and rights of all women and minorities.”

This is my version of the catwalk pussyhat, with a little shaping at the top to make the ears stand up better. It’s made in fingering weight yarn because winter is ending soon. (But really because that’s what I had in my stash that was good colors! My brim is KFI Luxury Collection Indulgence Cashmere--I think in colorway 601 but not sure because I stole a mini-cake from a scarf kit--and my main part of the hat is from A Treehugger’s Wife in Alaska.)
