This pattern is for a cowl in two sizes that will keep your neck warm in the coldest weather. The cowls are knit in the round with cables and twisted stitches. Both cowls are tapered by decreasing stitches as you work toward the neck of the cowl.

Although the Cedarbury Small Cowl is shown in DK weight and this larger one in worsted weight, both can be made with either weight yarn. (Both sizes are included in this pattern.) The final, blocked size depends mostly on how much you expand the piece during blocking, if you block at all. The important thing is to work at the right gauge for the yarn you are using.
