The light-colored Cedarbury Cowl is made with Jorstad Creek Tweed DK.

This pattern is for a cabled cowl in two sizes that will keep your neck warm in the coldest weather. The cowls are knit in the round with cables and twisted stitches. Both cowls are tapered by decreasing stitches as you work toward the neck of the cowl.

Although the Large Cedarbury Cowl is shown in worsted weight and this smaller one in DK weight, both can be made with either weight yarn. (Both sizes are included in this pattern. The rust color cowl is the larger version.)

The final, blocked size depends mostly on how much you expand the piece during blocking, if you block at all. The important thing is to work at the right gauge for the yarn you are using.

This pattern is featured in KnitCrate’s January 2015 “Indie” Crate, along with Jorstad Creek Tweed DK yarn.
