A luxurious rectangular lace stole inspired by my recent travels to the Shetland Islands.

The center lace panel is worked first, in two halves, and grafted together at the center, allowing for mirrored vertical motifs up either side. The piece is finished by way of a knitted-on lace edging that is attached to the entire perimeter of the stole as it is worked.
