Gauge and instructions are included for either Aran or Worsted Weight yarns. Both myself and my test knitter used less than 100 yards of each color.

Gauge on this project is not super critical.
I used a recycled Aran weight yarn and a Manos del Uruguay Wool Clasica in my original sample. The Manos is listed as an Aran weight yarn, but is a yarn that has varying widths from Aran down to Fingering weight similar to a homespun or art yarn. My test knitter used a handspun for one of her yarns.

Finished measurements:

Circumference 32 inches
Width 7 (Worsted) to 8 (Aran) inches
