Chequerboard Pumpkin is an easy crochet pattern for a fabulously fun pumpkin. The pumpkin is worked in the round in a two-colour check pattern. Only double crochet UK / single crochet US stitches are used for the pumpkin itself and there are no increases or decreases. The base of the pumpkin is then drawn together like a drawstring purse before being stuffed. Then, the top is closed in the same way.

Included are instructions to make a stalk, tendrils and flower. The stalk is worked in a spiral so there are no slip stitch joins as you work. You can either slot the stalk into the little gap at the top of the pumpkin or sew the stalk on to the top.

The pattern is in written format in both UK and US crochet terminology and includes helpful photos at the end.

Happy Hooking!
