Chester is knitted in the round on a set of four US size 5 double pointed needles from Lion Brand “Luxe Fur” yarn or a comparable chunky-weight textured yarn. His nose is embroidered on and he has 13mm black acrylic safety eyes. You will need two balls of the “Luxe Fur” for Chester, a small amount of white yarn for his tail, a small amount of pink yarn for his nose, polyester fiberfill stuffing, and a yarn needle.

This pattern also includes a tutorial for how to make “poly pellet bags”, or weighted bags to make Chester have a floppier appearance. To make these poly pellet bags, you will need an old t-shirt or some scrap fabric, poly pellets (approximately a cup), and a sewing machine or needle and thread.

The finished toy will be approximately 15” tall with an arm span of about 13” (he will be larger or smaller depending on what yarn you use). He would look great sitting in an Easter basket on Easter morning and is a lovely and cuddly friend.
