There is an error in this pattern.

From King Cole:

There is an error on right side of the neck of the Boy’s Sweater. This leaflet has been in circulation for over 2 years and nobody has brought it to our attention before. As it is written the cast off stitches and those left on a thread are at the outer edge of the garment.

The wording for the instructions should just be as follows:

  • With right side facing rejoin yarn at neck edge of remaining 29 stitches and continue as follows.

  • Cast on 3 sts, P1, K1, P1 across these 3 sts then patt to end as set (32 sts)

  • Keeping patt correct as set, continue on these 32 sts only until armhole is 12 rows shorter than Back to shoulders.

  • Next Row: Cast off 3 sts in patt, patt next 3 and slip these 4 sts onto a thread, then patt to end.

It shouldn’t say 12 rows shorter than Back to shoulders, ending with a right side row. (This would be an odd number of rows to the shoulders).

King Cole apologises for the error. When the pattern is reprinted the error will be corrected.
