This easy-to-knit colorwork chimney hat will come off the needles quickly and make a merry statement for the Christmas season. Make one for every kid on your list, or perhaps you’d like to wear one to the office holiday party or to the ugly Christmas sweater contest. The only thing better would be if you’d find Santa on the inside. This pattern does require catching floats behind the bricks and perhaps a knowledge of how to make i-cord but other than that, it’s advanced beginner level.

60 (70, 80, 90, 100) yards 55 (65, 74, 83, 92)m of worsted weight yarn in TWO contrasting colors, as well as 15 yards (13.5m) or so of green worsted weight yarn for garland and small bits of scrap yarn for the Christmas lights

Remember, colorful knits, brighten your life. Enjoy!
