Like rippling water, the wave pattern of Milanese lace in the Chinook shawl becomes larger as it reverberates toward the scalloped fishnet edge. This is a true knitted lace pattern, with patterning on the right and wrong sides of your shawl. Hold two colors of lace weight yarn together and change one at a time to gradually shift colors across the shawl. This is a subtle way to create a unique and mesmerizing color pattern that doesn’t obscure your lace pattern. Choose to use the sixth hank of yarn to knit a lace border on your Chinook shawl, or leave a smooth finished edge to your shawl and knit the lace Pyrifera scarf pattern, which is also included.
