Chouette, a knitted shawlette.

I happen to see this photo on Facebook of an owl, forgot to save it and didn’t see it again until the shawl was done and the pattern published. I am so glad I just stumbled once again on Facebook upon that very photo that inspired me to create this shawl.

Written instructions for this lovely piece, featuring a beautiful lace border, stockinette, stranded knitting and an I-Cord Bind-Off, all mimicking the beautiful owl in the photo.

This project is suitable for the intermediate knitter.

A video link included for the I-Cord Bind Off.

NOTE: With stranded knitting it’s best not to knit tight, so the stitches won’t “pucker”. So keep it loose~

You will need a fingering yarn about 300 yards in color 1 and 100 yards in color 2. US needles size 5 (3.75mm) circular needle 29’ or 32” in length.

I hope you enjoy this project as much as I have~
