When I sewed these together I turned the crust inside out to make the wiggly ridges stand outwards instead of upwards. Also the leaves can be attached so that they lie flat, or stick up. I did some of each. It is up to you! As a finishing touch, I put a small piece of cinnamon stick inside each one to give them a nice holiday smell!
