Finished size: about 40cm (15.75in) decorated, the base ring 34cm (13.4in)
Materials
• Oddments of yarn up to 50g (yarn guidance is given at the beginning of each item)
• Cardboard, cut to 33cm (13in) in outer diameter with 4cm (1.57in) widths x 2
• Masking tape
• Artificial flower stamens
• Lightweight garden wire
• Floral tape (optional)
• Toy stuffing
• Card
• Bamboo skewer
• A wooden bead, glue
• 2cm (0,8in) gold bell x 2
• 5cm (2in) widths gold ribbon x 1m

Tools
• Long 3mm straight knitting needles or circular needles
• A chenille needle, an all-purpose sewing needle
• Scissors
• Plyers

Tension
• 28 sts x 36 rows=10cm x 10cm (not essential)

Practical tips
• Leave long ends for the parts that require sewing.
• Sew the seam with RS facing, using mattress stitch.
• If you are used to using long knitting needles, use them to knit the base ring cover. Alternatively, use circular needles (40cm) and turn at the end of each row.
• Measure your knitted Base Cover and cut the cardboard rings to ensure they will fit.
• Feel free to improvise and have fun! I added little creatures from my book, ‘Mini Knitted Woodland’.
